Seniors Mediation Fees

Mediation is a cost-effective process that encourages the outcome of a win-win resolution for both parties within a short space of time.

Mediation costs are typically low as the process usually only lasts one or two days, and the resources required are limited to that of the parties involved.

Mediation fees are usually split between the parties in dispute, furthering the affordability of the process and the hope for a mutually-beneficial outcome. Additionally, research and discovery costs, court fees, and expert witness expenses are eliminated by avoiding litigation.

General mediation process:

  • Pre-mediation Intake and Risk Assessment: An intake Interview is conducted with each party separately to determine if mediation is appropriate and to prepare you for your mediation. This session typically takes two hours and can be conducted face-to-face or via video conference.
  • Mediation: One or more mediation session(s) (if appropriate or required) are held to: discuss issues, attempt to resolve, problem solve and form an agreement between the two parties. These sessions typically take between 3-4 hours and are preferably conducted face-to-face but can also be conducted via video conference.
